I'm still at the beginning stages on my journey on how I am dealing with my post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and how living a spiritual life has helped me to cope, grow and evolve. It's been a real process to figure out what happened on 9/11 being a temp at Morgan Stanley and seeing my life flash before my eyes when I saw the first plane go into the opposite tower from where I was standing. I still have difficulties going to the Financial District of Manhattan to this day. The energy down there, feels fraught with a cacophony of emotions and sounds.
I've started doing some research on the topic of PTSD and how it leaves an imprint on one's body and ultimately one's mind. It will be interesting to see where this research leads to and finding ways of my learnings of different spiritual practices to address what can seem like on some days an endless stream of suffering and pain. I will keep you updated on my findings.
